Virtual Reality Cricket.

There are different categories of VR applications available. One key area in VR is VR sports. This is one key area where VR gaming supersedes PC gaming because VR can give a better experience in this sports category. When selecting a sport for a VR game it is important to notice that sports that use bats or balls are better suitable as they can be simulated easily in the VR environment.

While I was working for Arimac, Sri Lanka we decided to experiment on a VR sports game. The game we selected was Cricket, which had huge fan support in Sri Lanka. Following is a small video showcasing the functionalities in the game. Amazing artists in Arimac did all the artwork, animations and sounds while I handled all the Unity related functionalities.

The game was a huge success and even few players in the Sri Lanka national team such as T.M. Dilshan and Anjelo Mathews played it.
