AR filters have been a big part of augmented reality from the very beginning. Because of the interactive and enjoyable aspect of it, AR filters have a huge generation Z fan base. While I was working at Arimac, the German team of Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) came to us with the problem of getting the necessary awareness in the young community for the 17 goals of their plan. After a few brainstorming sessions, a Facebook and Instagram filter with AR wings expressing each goal individually was identified as the solution.
I was in charge of the development part of the project and with collaboration from the Amazing artists from both Arimac and SDG we were able to produce 17 amazing filters for the SDG team to use. They were designed in a way which has minimum user effort but has maximum user experience.
The filters were a huge success. After 3 months from the launch the filters got over 20 Million impressions.
